Who We Are

A Movement Rooted in
Faith & Justice

FOCCISA Health & Gender Justice Network is a faith-driven force for transformation in Southern Africa. We coordinate Councils of Churches across 11 nations, working alongside NGOs, community leaders, and global partners to ensure the equality and dignity of every human being, irrespective of gender, social status, health, ethnicity, or belief.

We are not a denomination. We are a regional movement for justice, healing, and human flourishing.

Our Work

Five Pillars of Transformation

Health Advocacy

Championing HIV/AIDS response, sexual & reproductive health rights, and equitable healthcare access through faith-based networks.

Gender Justice

Dismantling structural inequality through gender transformation toolkits, GBV prevention, and capacity building within churches.

Community Empowerment

Mobilising grassroots communities, training local champions, and creating platforms where every voice, especially the marginalised, matters.

Faith & Social Impact

Harnessing the moral authority of the church to advance human rights, facilitate interfaith dialogue, and transform social norms.

Policy & Dialogue

Engaging SADC, the AU, and national governments to shape inclusive policies that protect the dignity of all people.
